With a custom character, you can give yourself a massive headstart with your items and starting traits. Unfortunately, the werewolf transformation as a whole can't be changed, and it clears all your starting traits while you're transformed (but not traits you got from leveling up during a run). This matters most for Teleport-Happy, since being able to teleport from within buildings and during disaster floors is really impactful. Therefore, you have to hope to get it from level up if you're playing a werewolf build. I actually got lucky and got it here, despite playing without a trait that gives you more trait choices when you level up — then the rest of the run fell into place.
